The Week That Was… May 16

So… What have we seen over the past week in Ohio

Rep. Nino Vitale
May 16 2020

Without any elected oversight nor local control, the Ohio Department of Education is planning to require all students and teachers to wear masks.

Many recent studies have shown masks may actually make you and your child more susceptible to a virus.

Where there is risk, there MUST be choice, not mandates.

The plan also looks to prohibit visitors of any kind to the school, so you cannot get in to see your child. It looks like the “house arrest” continues, except it is now “school arrest.”

I say the parents are the primary educators of their children and I trust parents, LOCAL teachers and school boards to decide what’s best for their community, not centralized government overlords.

The regulations in the Ohio Department of Education’s report are framed as requirements, not suggestions.

Dr. Russell Blaylock recently reviewed 17 science-based studies and concluded, we may be actually risking our health by forcing people to wear masks. He stated, “…more frightening, by wearing a mask, the exhaled viruses will not be able to escape and will concentrate in the nasal passages, enter the olfactory nerves and travel into the brain.”
