Preliminary Steps to Reinstitute These Principles

  • Unite as citizens around a common purpose and idea, that America is still the land of freedom and opportunity where ordinary people can do extraordinary things.
  • Hold our elected officials accountable to our federal and state Constitutions and ignore their party affiliations and rhetoric, while focusing on their actions.
  • Reduce the size and scope of our federal government to reestablish limited government and avoid unnecessary public debt.
  • Reduce taxes to allow people to keep more of their money so they can save, invest, or spend it as they see fit.
  • Unleash the power of free individuals and entrepreneurs to build businesses and create lasting prosperity without excessive government intrusion.
  • Make our own decisions without federal intrusion on matters such as our health care, our children’s education, our businesses, our properties and our lives.
  • Make politicians subject to the same laws as the rest of us.
  • Prevent the federal government from exercising powers reserved to the states and to the people under the Tenth Amendment.
  • We, the members of the Marietta 9-12 Project, unite with those who seek to preserve our great republic under the same principles that have proven to be a formula for success with each generation of Americans who valued them.
  • Together, with a firm reliance on divine Providence, we will reignite the spirit of liberty and help our country return to its founding principles. We invite you to stand with us.
